Holy Canoli!

Has everyone seen this? A few of our blog brothers are cited/noted in it. In the notes section, see note #41. Does anyone know who compiled this article? I'm honored that I was included in the reference notes. And I think it's hilarious that they wrote about the word "Moho" and its origins. XD

For some reason the text doesn't wrap when it's showing in my blog, so here it is on two lines:

Homosexuality_and_The_Church_of_Jesus_Christ_of_Latter-day_Saints

If you click on the History tab, you'll see that the article was originally compiled by a user named COGDEN. However, it has been subsequently edited by a number of other users. It appears the citation referring to some of our blogs was by an anonymous user known only by their TCP/IP address of 72.8.90.154.

I am cited as: Others openly identify themselves as gay or homosexual, even if they are heterosexually married. I'm not sure I agree with the 'openly' part. I only refer to myself as 'gay' in my blog where I maintain anonymity - how open is that?

I think I'll hold off telling my wife that we've been cited in Wikipedia.

Abe, is that a quote from your blog? if it's wrong, you can edit it.

Actually, I'm concerned about this. I know of one blog cited, in which the author is not using a pseudonym, but isn't necessarily out yet.

That is a quote from the Wikipedia article with a citation pointing to my blog.

I think I will pursue editing the article, at least to remove the word "openly".

I also have an issue with the statement:

among celibate and faithfully married homosexuals, terminology is more difficult. Most either don't identify their orientation, or say they are heterosexuals

How does he know that most faithful members with SSA feel that way? I think it would be more accurate to say many.

As I said, we can all go ahead and edit that information out...

I made a couple of minor edits.

holy blogoroni batman!

just a few weeks ago i checked wikipedia and there was "no" reference to MOHO. some one has done some fast homework.

and yes i did freak some when i saw my blog listed. and yes i do use my real name. and thanks Samantha for your concern. hey, why didnt they site one of the lds gay women blogs? I know Samantha's is private but there are few others that are very good resources. besides we need to balance this approach.

but i'm wamt to be a force for good. so i'm not going to disapear. and if i am found. so be it. but i will leave a few more red herrings. i love those stinky fish. :-)

i do have a few concerns with some of the words. but they are minor. and i think Abe is taking care of it.

i do have an urge to tell everyone i've been sited in wikipedia. but i think that it might let the cat outta the bag a little sooner than i hope for. :-)

Ain't that the pits?

Actually, my blog is not private. However, I don't spend a lot of time talking about homosexuality on it--I've been reconciled to that for many years. So perhaps it's more interesting to read the writings of those who are still trying to come to terms with their sexuality, than someone who has not only "figured things out" for herself, but lives very contentedly in a heterosexual way.
