I accept them... but I don't know what your situation is...

Haha! When my mom requested, I freaked out! I thought,"oh no, I better go delete a bunch of stuff." I ended up just accepting and figured she'd just have to deal with it. It ended up being to bothersome for her and she canceled her account.

I've ignored the requests of several aunts & other extended family members already.

At the same time, I did accept my dad's friend request, but he's not going to be stalking me or checking up on my profile, he just likes to post family pictures on there once in awhile.

So summed up, I would say that if you have any doubts, just ignore. In many ways, facebook can be like an email account. Other people would understand that you don't want them sifting through your email, and the same principle can apply to facebook.

I accept them, but that means I have to be a lot more cautious on facebook. My mom has gotten mad at me on several occasions for having something "too gay" on facebook. Haha.

Oh, I accepted them all. I was just wondering what other people do. I have nothing to hide.

Although, I do wonder if my mom will complain at me for being "too gay" on there. LOL

Heh. I just accept and let them decide if anything on my Facebook profile is bothersome. I don't self-censor at all.

I had a brother un-friend me because there was too much gay stuff on my wall. Other than that, hasn't seem to have been an issue.

Hi, I recently started reading your blog. Love it! Anyway, I accept almost everyone who requests to be friends. I did freak out a little when my mom sent me a friend request, but then I figured whatever happens, happens. Hopefully some of the stuff I post will cause a few people to pause and consider a different point of view.

Um, so apparently I am a little bit more selective than most when it comes to Facebook. Ol' Max only has 4 more years of being my friend on Facebook before he reaches the retirement age on Facebook. :P

I guess I might make a special exception for him, or perhaps extend the age limit a bit since I am getting older too.

I've accepted them all. And once I come out to all of my fam, I don't mind either.

Haha, great question. I've had some aunts and uncles and cousins request my friendship on facebook. They are all in and around SLC (and I'm not) and they had a family reunion this past weekend and my brother told me one of my cousins who is now a friend on facebook told him that after seeing stuff I post on there that she decided she doesn't know me very well. My brother just laughed.
